Please continue to: – wear your mask in the surgery – keep distance when in the surgery – arrive no longer than five minutes before your appointment time – avoid attending for routine care when you have Covid – tell us if you have Covid symptoms or are Covid positive when you have an appointment
That way we can keep all patients safe – including those who cannot be vaccinated or whose immune systems are compromised/weak.
We thank you for your understanding.
Appointments
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
You can also call NHS 111. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.
If you are waiting for a check-up, please be assured we will be in touch
Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct if you are advised to do so by the online service or cannot go online.
In Northamptonshire, pharmacies cannot routinely order medicines for the majority of patients. This enables you to take control of your medicines, reduce the amount of medicines that are wasted and save the NHS money.
Instead, we recommend patients use Patient Access (this is accessible via a website or App) or the NHS App (for patients aged 13 and over) to order medicines. This will help you to stay in control of your medication ordering and will save you from needing to visit your practice to order your medicines. If you wish to use another online company or App to order your medicines, practices will only accept requests if the service links directly into your GP’s clinical record. The reason for only accepting requests that link into the GP record will help prevent mistakes when ordering and avoid delays in your GP practice being able to process these requests.
Please contact your practice to register for online access if you haven’t already done so. Alternatively, download the NHS App (free to download) from the App Store or Google Play.
Mawsley Surgery is a GP Practice located in the village of Mawsley, Northamptonshire, working from purpose built premises with free parking and full disabled access including disabled parking. There is also an allocated pram park within the surgery building. We are also a dispensing doctor practice offering a full dispensing service on site. Our Dispensary is wholly for patients registered with the practice. We aim to provide a fast turn around of prescription drugs from the time of requesting a prescription. We also offer a home delivery service to our patients aged over 65. We keep most medicines in stock but occasionally we may have to order certain items, if this is the case then we have deliveries twice daily and will still be able to provide non–stocked items. For repeat prescriptions, we aim to have your medication ready for collection within 48 working hours.
The Team at Mawsley Surgery aim to treat patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence.
For more information about our Practice, please contact Mrs Jane Evans, Practice Manager, on 01536 791300.
