If you have received a letter stating you need to shield / isolate and are unsure why or haven’t received a letter and think you should have, please bear with us, we will update you as soon as we have more information.
If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and or a high temperature, you are advised to stay at home for 7 days. Do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP practice. If you live with other people, they should also stay at home for at least 14 days, to avoid spreading the infection outside the home.
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct if you are advised to do so by the online service or cannot go online.
If you are not currently using online ordering of medication, we highly recommend that you download the NHS app. This will enable you to gain access to online ordering without requiring the practices assistance. If this is not possible due to technical reasons or difficulty setting it up, the practice is still happy to help you set up your account.
To protect our staff the Dispensary opening times have changed. It is now open from 10am to 4pm. The staff remain on site from 9am to 6pm in case of urgent need.
To protect yourselves and our staff, we would encourage collection of prescriptions in the car park to reduce footfall in the dispensary/pharmacy. This can be arranged by calling the dedicated mobile number 07934722166. If payment is required, please advise the member of staff on the phone and payment can be taken at this time. On arriving in the car park, please call the mobile advising your location and a member of staff will come to the car with your prescription and will pass it to you through your car window. This service is available from 9am to 12pm.
If you are isolating and require delivery, please use the same number 07934722166. If payment is required, please advise the member of staff on the phone and payment can be taken at this time.
We are very grateful to members of Northamptonshire Search and Rescue who have been helping us to get vital medical supplies delivered to those self isolating and under shielding. Thank you!
Mawsley Surgery is a GP Practice located in the village of Mawsley, Northamptonshire, working from purpose built premises with free parking and full disabled access including disabled parking. There is also an allocated pram park within the surgery building. We are also a dispensing doctor practice offering a full dispensing service on site. Our Dispensary is wholly for patients registered with the practice. We aim to provide a fast turn around of prescription drugs from the time of requesting a prescription. We also offer a home delivery service to our patients aged over 65. We keep most medicines in stock but occasionally we may have to order certain items, if this is the case then we have deliveries twice daily and will still be able to provide non–stocked items. For repeat prescriptions, we aim to have your medication ready for collection within 48 working hours.
The Team at Mawsley Surgery aim to treat patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence.
For more information about our Practice, please contact Mrs Jane Evans, Practice Manager, on 01536 791300.
