Using the generous donations provided we have been able to purchase two new diagnostic items for use within the Nursing team at the Surgery:
We have purchased a new 24hr Blood Pressure Monitor; allowing us to diagnose and treat high blood pressure quickly and efficiently. This monitor can also be used to adjust medication for a patient already diagnosed with high blood pressure. Having the ability to treat patients in-house reduces lengthy waiting list times and enables us to look after our patients faster.
We have also been lucky enough to purchase a new Vascular Doppler. These machines are used across a wide range of patients from all backgrounds; from performing Diabetic foot checks to assessing a patient with vascular problems for appropriate wound dressings. We use this machine on a daily basis and having a brand new device with assorted probes is a fantastic development for the entire nursing team.
We would like to thank the Mawsley Village Association, Mr and Mrs Quinn and a number of families of late patients who have donated collections from funerals. We would not be able to provide some of the services without your support.
